On 6th of October 2025 Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan had a bilateral meeting before the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
On 7th of October 2025 in preparation for the Summit, the meeting of the OTS foreign ministers was held with the participation of Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
The 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of OTS was attended by – among others – Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye; Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Sadyr Japarov, President of the Kyrgyz Republic; Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Khalk Maslakhaty) and Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.
