SHORT TERM VISA APPLICATIONS (1-90 DAYS)

C type visa applications shall be submitted at BLS International's offices in Baku, 106 D.Aliyeva street, Winter Park Palace, 1st floor

In case an interview is necessary with the applicant, the interview takes places at the Embassy of Hungary in Baku: Mirza Mansur 72, Icheri Sheher 

Visa Application Guidelines

As a general rule, all applicants must submit their visa applications in person at the BLS office at the pre-booked appointment time.

In the case of minors, parents may submit the visa application on behalf of the child up to the age of 12.

Conditions for Submitting an Application:

  • Applications must be submitted no earlier than 6 months and no later than 15 calendar days before the planned travel date. If fewer than 16 days remain until the trip at the time of submission, the application cannot be accepted.
  • In exceptional, urgent, or particularly justified individual cases, the consulate may allow applications to be submitted within the 15-day deadline before the planned travel date

The following must be submitted:

  • A fully completed and legibly filled out visa application form signed by the applicant. For minors, both parents must sign the application.
  • A valid passport that:
    • Contains at least two blank pages,
    • Was issued within the last 10 years,
    • Remains valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from the Schengen area or, in the case of multiple stays, the date of the last planned departure.

Additionally, the application must include:

  • One recent passport-sized color photograph (not older than 6 months) affixed to the visa application form.
  • Biometric data of the applicant (fingerprints and photo) to be taken at the time of application.
  • Payment of the visa fee.

Who Can Apply for a C-Type Visa?

  • Azerbaijani nationals.
  • Nationals of third countries with residence permits in Azerbaijan valid for at least 3 months.
  • Nationals of third countries legally residing in Azerbaijan whose home countries lack a Hungarian visa-issuing representation, and where no other Schengen member state represents Hungary.

Required Documents for Submission:

  • Completed visa application form.
  • Travel and health insurance valid for the entire Schengen area and the entire duration of the stay. The insurance must cover emergency medical care, hospital treatment, and repatriation (with a minimum coverage of 30,000 EUR).
  • Documents verifying entry and exit arrangements to and from the Schengen area (e.g., flight tickets).
  • Documents verifying accommodation in the Schengen area (e.g., hotel reservations, rental agreements).
  • Proof of sufficient financial resources, such as bank statements from the last three months.
  • Employment, school attendance, or social security certificates.
  • Proof of legal residence in Azerbaijan (valid residence permit), if the applicant is not an Azerbaijani citizen.
  • For minors, a consent statement from the non-traveling parent, or a divorce document in the case of separated parents.

Important Note: The above list of supporting documents is indicative and not exhaustive. The range of required documents is determined by the consulate based on local circumstances and the specifics of each case. These requirements are subject to change.

C-Type Schengen Visa - Short-term Stay (1-90 Days)

  • The visa serves as pre-authorization for travel but does not guarantee entry. Travelers may be asked to verify the conditions of their entry and stay at border crossings. Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry.
  • Processing time is 15 days, but it can be extended to a maximum of 45 days.

APPEALS:

  • In the case of a negative decision, the applicant has the right to appeal within 8 calendar days of receiving the decision.
  • The appeal procedure fee is 160 EUR, to be paid at the time of submission.

Appeals must be submitted in person at the Embassy of Hungary in Baku, with prior appointment through the

ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM

Required Documents for Appeals:

  • Appeal statement written in one of the official languages of the European Union, preferably English or Hungarian.
  • New supporting documents that were not previously submitted.

The review process for appeals typically takes 15 calendar days but may be extended in certain cases.
