Ottó Albrecht launched the Gömböc donation program, under which individual Gömböcs are displayed as permanent exhibits at the world's most famous universities and collections. This homogeneous body, which has one stable and one unstable equilibrium point, was created in 2007 by Gábor Domokos and Péter Várkonyi, researchers at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.The Gömböc manufactured for ADA University was given the serial number 1918 marking the year of the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan.

On 12 December, 2025, Ambassador Tamás Torma presented Fariz Ismailzade, Vice Rector of ADA University, with a unique Gömböc model bearing the serial number 1918.
