The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the State Migration Service, and the Prosecutor General's Office. The Hungarian delegation was led by Balázs Farkas, Director of the Consular and Citizenship Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and consisted of Ambassador Tamás Torma and representatives of the Consular Department of MFTA and the Consular Section of the Hungarian Embassy in Baku.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of consular cooperation and its future prospects, as well as strengthening cooperation in the areas of legal assistance, migration, labor, and education. The meeting highlighted the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Hungary and their close cooperation in the consular field.
The Hungarian delegation also visited the “ASAN Service” Center where they were briefed on the activities of the “ASAN Service” centers, established at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as on various projects implemented in the field of social innovation. The delegation was also introduced the activities of the “INNOLAND” Incubation and Acceleration Center, the Mobile ASAN Service, and the “ABAD” public legal entity.
