On 16th of August 2021, the Embassy of Hungary in Baku restarts receiving Schengen visa applications and issuing visas, exclusively in those cases when Hungary is the only or main destination of travel.
The necessary supporting documents for visa application are listed on the website of the Embassy, with the specific conditions that the applicant should submit the invoices of a paid fare ticket and paid accommodation bill relevant to Hungary.
In case Hungary is not the main destination of travel, the applicant must enquire about entry rules and conditions at the foreign representation of the third country the applicant intends to travel, since, Schengen visa might not be the exclusive requirement upon entry to the given country. The enquiry about the rules and conditions upon entry into the third country is the exclusive responsibility of the applicant, thus himself bears all the responsibility for any financial damage caused by his omission.
Necessary to know that in case of entry into Hungary, in addition to a valid visa, a negative PCR test issued in English or Hungarian, not older than 72 hours from the date of entry into Hungary, is also required.
