On September 13, 2019, at the ADU University in Baku, the Ambassador of Hungary Mr. Viktor Szederkényi, presented the Officer’s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to Prof. Kamal Abdulla, rector of the ADU University, in recognition of his role in the deepening of the Hungarian-Azerbaijani cultural and scientific relations,
Prof. Kamal Abdulla played a pivotal role in broadening and strengthening our cooperation with the Azerbaijani University of Languages. He contributed in various ways to our excellent relations: through supporting the Hungarian language teaching in Azerbaijan; through publishing of scientific work in Hungarian in the field of language learning; and through helping to establish the Hungarian Language Center in the University of Languages which was opened last March. Moreover ADU has been maintaining an excellent working relationship with our Embassy here in Baku and has been supporting numerous joint programs. The resolution on the decoration was signed by H.E. Mr. János Áder, President of Hungary on July 22, 2019.
